Following the Pan-European extension of their distribution agreement on Perkadox® and Trigonox® organic peroxides for crosslinking, Safic-Alcan and Nouryon announce a further amendment covering recycling of plastics — a fast-growing application driven by circular economy commitments across Europe.
Paris-La Defense, April 30, 2026 – Safic-Alcan, a global distributor of specialty chemicals, and Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals company, have extended their existing Pan-European distribution agreement to cover recycling of plastics. Effective April 2026, this new scope builds directly on the partnership established for Perkadox® and Trigonox® organic peroxides — Nouryon's industry-leading crosslinking portfolio — already distributed by Safic-Alcan across more than 40 European markets.
Perkadox® and Trigonox® organic peroxides are increasingly recognized as key enablers in plastic recycling processes, allowing processors to upgrade recycled plastic streams, restore mechanical properties, and meet the performance requirements of demanding end applications. As virgin plastic use comes under increasing regulatory and commercial pressure, these solutions offer manufacturers a proven route to integrating recycled content without compromising on quality.
For Safic-Alcan, this amendment reinforces the group's commitment to sustainability-driven growth in its Plastics & Rubber segments. Building on its technical expertise in peroxides and its commercial presence across Europe, Safic-Alcan is ideally positioned to support compounders, recyclers, and plastics processors in adopting Nouryon's solutions for circular economy applications.
