Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager – Pharmaceuticals
Marc Huang joined Safic-Alcan in 2017, after several years of experience as a PhD and post-doctoral researcher in chemistry laboratories. He is now part of the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QARA) team within the pharmaceutical activity, where he plays a key role in ensuring compliance, quality and customer confidence.
What attracted Marc to Safic-Alcan was the company’s ability to create value through people, both internally and with partners, as well as the diversity of challenges encountered on a daily basis.
Ensuring compliance through collaboration
As QARA Manager, Marc works in close collaboration with all departments of the pharmaceutical team, contributing to the development of smart, compliant solutions aligned with regulatory requirements and customer needs.
One concrete example of this collaborative approach is the organisation of analytical workshops directly in customers’ laboratories, helping them resolve complex product analysis issues and define appropriate corrective actions.

Marc strongly values teamwork and human connection, even in a hybrid or remote environment. Despite changes in working habits, the team continues to foster engagement through online initiatives, such as virtual celebrations and informal moments designed to maintain cohesion and team spirit.

Outside of work, Marc is an avid reader of fantasy literature, drawn to imaginative worlds that offer a change of perspective. He also enjoys playing the guitar, often accompanied by his daughter singing alongside him — a moment of creativity and balance in daily life.
