Paris – La Défense, April 1st, 2022 – Safic-Alcan, a leading global distributor of specialty chemicals, announces the appointment of Yann Lissillour as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Philippe Combette, who will step down as Chairman, and Martial Lecat, who will also leave his role within the Executive Committee.
Under the leadership of Philippe Combette and Martial Lecat—who both joined Safic-Alcan in the late 1980s—the group has evolved into a European leader in the distribution of specialty raw materials for the formulation industry. Over more than three decades, they have driven Safic-Alcan’s profound transformation, expanding its international footprint through organic and external growth, while diversifying across multiple market sectors. Today, Safic-Alcan stands as the only independent French distributor with global coverage in its field.
Moving forward, Martial Lecat will continue as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Philippe Combette will also remain an active member of this Board, ensuring strategic continuity and guidance.
The Executive Committee will now be composed of:

Yann Lissillour joined Safic-Alcan in 2000 and has since held several commercial and leadership positions. In 2016, he took charge of the group’s acquisitions and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in November 2021.
