Paris – La Défense, July 6, 2020 – Safic-Alcan, a leading global distributor of specialty chemicals, is pleased to announce the creation of its new subsidiary, Safic-Alcan Southern Africa, to service the South African market and neighbouring countries, effective immediately.
Based in Johannesburg, the new entity will manage local warehousing and provide enhanced technical and commercial support to customers across the region.
To lead this new venture, Mr. Ronald Marshall, a polymer engineer with extensive experience in technical, sales, and business development roles at companies such as Klüber Lubrication and Dunlop Africa, has been appointed General Manager. He will initially oversee the Performance Products division, covering Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers (CASE), Polyurethane (PU), Rubber, and Plastics markets.
With this strategic move, Safic-Alcan reinforces its commitment to global growth, proximity, and technical excellence, ensuring that its partners in Southern Africa benefit from the group’s full portfolio and expertise.
