Paris-La Défense – January 19, 2021 – Safic-Alcan, an international distributor of specialty chemicals, is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with Arkema for the distribution of its SILIPORITE® molecular sieves range.
Following extensive discussions, Arkema and Safic-Alcan have confirmed their intention to negotiate and finalize a distribution agreement covering the United Kingdom and Ireland, the Nordic countries, Russia, Greece, and South East Asia. Additional countries may be added to the scope during the second quarter of 2021.
SILIPORITE® Molecular Sieves for Polyurethane Excellence
The agreement includes the SILIPORITE® trademark, a high-performance molecular sieve portfolio designed to deliver engineering excellence in polyurethane applications.
SILIPORITE® molecular sieves act by removing residual moisture often present in polyols, solvents, or fillers, preventing unwanted reactions between water and isocyanate groups. This ensures improved process reliability, product performance, and durability across a wide range of polyurethane formulations.
