Paris-La Défense, October 1, 2025 – Safic-Alcan, a leading global specialty chemicals distributor, is pleased to announce the significant expansion of its long-standing partnership with Huber Advanced Materials (HAM), a business unit of Huber Engineered Materials. As a key halogen-free fire retardant supplier in Europe, effective January 1, 2026, Safic-Alcan will become the exclusive distributor of Huber’s full line of halogen-free flame retardants, including the well-established Martinal® aluminum hydroxide and Magnifin® magnesium hydroxide brands, across a broader European footprint and serving all application markets.
Under this new agreement, Safic-Alcan’s responsibilities will expand beyond its previous focus on Rubber & Elastomers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Turkey, and Italy. Safic-Alcan will now also represent Huber’s broad line of halogen-free flame retardants — including products sold under the brands Martinal® aluminum hydroxide and Magnifin® magnesium hydroxide — in these territories, with France as and additional country for the same products. This strategic development enables Safic-Alcan to serve customers comprehensively across all end-use markets.
