Paris-La Défense, March 6, 2023 – Safic-Alcan, a global distributor of specialty chemicals, is pleased to announce a PAN-European exclusive distribution agreement with Schützen Chemical Group for Schützencol® biobased rheological modifiers, dedicated to the coatings and construction chemicals markets. The agreement covers all European countries, excluding Turkey.
This strategic partnership strengthens Safic-Alcan’s ESG-driven portfolio by adding innovative, biobased and highly biodegradable rheological solutions designed to support sustainable formulation strategies. Schützencol® products are based on tamarind seed gum polysaccharides, derived from renewable tamarind fruits, offering high performance while significantly reducing reliance on fossil-based raw materials.
Through its extensive European network and strong technical expertise, Safic-Alcan will support customers with formulation guidance, regulatory expertise and local market support, ensuring a successful deployment of Schützen’s biobased technologies.
This partnership marks another key milestone in Safic-Alcan’s strategy to deliver high-performance and sustainable solutions to the coatings and construction industries across Europe.
