Paris-La Défense, September 18th, 2023 – Safic-Alcan is pleased to announce the extension of its long-standing partnership with LANXESS, becoming the official distributor of Rocima™, Kathon™, Bioban™ and a broader range of biocides in France. This expansion follows LANXESS’ recent acquisition of IFF Microbial Control (MC), bringing additional high-performance biocidal technologies into its portfolio.
This strengthened collaboration significantly enhances Safic-Alcan’s offerings within its existing Preventol® portfolio, also developed by LANXESS. The newly added Rocima™, Kathon™, Bioban™ and related biocides are widely recognized for their performance across multiple industrial applications, including paints, varnishes, construction chemicals, wood protection, adhesives, leather processing, and other CASE markets.
With strong technical expertise and deep regulatory knowledge, Safic-Alcan is ideally positioned to support customers in navigating evolving biocide regulations while identifying the most effective solutions for their specific requirements.
Five years after initiating their distribution collaboration, LANXESS highlighted its strong confidence in Safic-Alcan as a major distributor in France. The expanded agreement integrates additional key biocide brands—resulting from the IFF Microbial Control acquisition—into an already comprehensive offering.
