Under this partnership, ChemSpec will distribute Rheostyl™ rheology modifiers and Rheostyl™ E polymeric emulsifiers for cosmetic and personal care applications.
This strategic agreement strengthens the long-standing collaboration between Arkema and Safic-Alcan, supporting cosmetic formulators with innovative, high-performance polymer solutions tailored to evolving market needs.

The Rheostyl™ and Rheostyl™ E product lines are acrylic polymers engineered to deliver exceptional performance across skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, and cleansing formulations. Introduced at in-cosmetics Global Paris 2022, these products now feature bio-attributed origins, achieved through a mass balance approach.
This innovation enables formulators to maintain the same trusted performance while contributing to a reduced carbon footprint. In addition, Rheostyl™ E multifunctional polymeric emulsifiers support the clean beauty trend by allowing minimalist formulations and cold-process manufacturing.
