Leadership Profile

Philippe Cenreaud serves as Managing Director of the Performance Products division at Safic-Alcan, overseeing activities across key industrial segments including rubber, plastics and related specialty applications. With more than 30 years of experience in the rubber industry, he brings deep technical expertise and market insight to the development and positioning of the Group’s performance-oriented product portfolio.

Prior to his current role, Philippe led Safic-Alcan’s Rubber & Plastics segment and previously held the position of Business Director, Rubber, Plastics and Adhesives – France. He joined the Executive Committee in September 2020. Throughout his career at Safic-Alcan, Philippe has held a wide range of leadership roles spanning Coatings & Specialties, Customer Service, HSE, Quality and Group Development for Rubber, contributing to both commercial growth and operational excellence.

Before joining Safic-Alcan, Philippe spent ten years at Cabot Corporation as European Sales and Technical Manager for the rubber industries. He also gained hands-on technical development experience in raw materials and compounds at GDX Automotive and Metzeler Automotive in the United States. His background combines industrial, commercial and technical perspectives within high-performance materials.

Philippe holds an MSc in Materials Engineering from University Paris 13 and an Engineering degree from the French Rubber Institute (IFOCA). Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys tennis and the restoration of old houses.
