Application Lab Manager – Cosmetics
Elodie Perennès joined Safic-Alcan in October 2022 as Application Lab Manager for the Cosmetics Department in France, bringing several years of experience from the personal care industry.
Having previously worked as a customer of Safic-Alcan, she was already familiar with the Group’s supplier portfolio, technical expertise and international footprint—elements that naturally led her to join the company.
Technical expertise at the heart of collaboration
Elodie works closely with the cosmetics business team, international subsidiaries, suppliers and customers. Her role sits at the crossroads of formulation, application testing and customer support, with a strong focus on delivering the right technical solutions for market needs.
She particularly enjoys preparing trade shows and industry events, which stimulate creativity within the lab and foster close collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Staying connected to customers through exhibitions and seminars allows her to remain aligned with their day-to-day challenges and expectations.
“We work together to provide customers with the right solution and the technical expertise they need.”
Innovation, sustainability and knowledge sharing
At lab level, Elodie is actively involved in developing more natural and responsible personal care formulations, in line with customer expectations and sustainability objectives. Waste reduction, responsible lab practices and continuous improvement are part of her daily mindset.
She also collaborates regularly with application laboratories across Safic-Alcan’s international subsidiaries, sharing formulations, technical insights and best practices. This collective approach strengthens innovation, technical excellence and team spirit across borders.
Life beyond the lab
Outside of work, Elodie enjoys a wide range of sports, including swimming, running and skiing, and regularly challenges herself through races during the year. She also values time spent by the sea in Brittany, where she reconnects with nature and family.
She particularly appreciated taking part in the “Children Without Cancer City” solidarity race organised by Imagine for Margo alongside colleagues—an experience that combined sport, commitment and shared purpose.
“Joining Safic-Alcan means being part of a company that offers varied and stimulating assignments, in a caring and pleasant environment.”
