Claire Charlot joined Safic-Alcan in 2011 as a Technical Sales Engineer in the Rubber Department and has grown within the organisation to become Deputy Director. Her journey reflects both technical expertise and a strong commitment to collaboration, innovation and customer support within the rubber industry.
Originally trained at IFOCA (now ELanova Education), Claire was drawn to Safic-Alcan early on for its reputation in technical excellence. When the opportunity arose to join the Group, she saw it as a natural next step to combine her scientific background with a commercial and customer-facing role.

At Safic-Alcan, Claire works closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams, navigating a wide range of interactions on a daily basis. This proximity and team spirit have been key drivers in her professional development.
She is also actively involved in AFICEP, where she has been a Board member for several years. Through technical days and industry events, she contributes to strengthening collaboration within the rubber sector in France — an industry where opportunities to exchange and innovate together remain essential.

Claire describes Safic-Alcan as a close-knit and supportive environment, where teamwork and open communication make daily work both dynamic and rewarding. Organising technical seminars with customers and partners has been one of her most fulfilling experiences, reinforcing long-term relationships beyond purely commercial interactions.
Outside of work, Claire is passionate about running, which she sees as a way to recharge and maintain balance. One of her proudest personal achievements was completing the Paris Marathon in 2016 — a challenge that required discipline, preparation and perseverance.
