Safic-Alcan Italia was founded in 1963 in Milan as distributor of chemical products, branch of Safic-Alcan SAS.
Thanks to our extensive market knowledge, a comprehensive range of elastomers and rubber additives and a dedicated team of technical sales experts, Safic-Alcan Italia is considered today the N°1 Specialty Chemicals Distributor to the Italian rubber industry.
As part of Safic-Alcan Group, we are able to support our global customers through Safic-Alcan’s distribution network.
Over the years, Safic-Alcan Italia begins to expand the range of its portfolio, developing sectors related to the distribution of raw materials for the following industries: polyurethane, coating, adhesives, plastic and Life Sciences (cosmetical, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical) making itself known more and more on the Italian market.In 2015, Safic-Alcan Italia, for Life Sciences, set up a fully equipped R&D laboratory dedicated to the needs of the Italian market.
In 2019 thanks to the acquisition of Luigi & Felice Castelli, a leader company in the distribution of cosmetic products, Safic-Alcan Italia opens its horizons even more to Life Sciences market.
Safic-Alcan Italia currently has two new laboratories: the biggest one, for a total of 32 square meters, is dedicated to the preparation and analysis of a wide range of skin-care and hair-care products; the second laboratory is fully dedicated to color-cosmetics formulations, allowing the technical team to explore this raising area of the Italian market.
The Life Science sales team visits the customers all over the Italian territory and brings kits of formulation examples developed with a specific range of raw materials; customers can touch and try the products; if the customer asks for formulations examples, the lab is ready to supply them, also based on the customer’s specific requests; each formulation example is accompanied by the formulation sheet.
